Miss Ripley Episode 3, While Miri follows Hee-joo, trying to work the Tokyo University diploma angle, a flashback takes us to their days at the orphanage, when Young Hee-joo had been crying over her impending adoption to Japan, feeling sick to her stomach to boot.

Young Miri had hidden Hee-joo in an empty room and told her to be quiet, so that the couple with the scheduled flight to Japan would be forced to leave, child or no child. But the nuns had decided to send Miri instead, ignoring her cries that she had to stay until her mother came for her, and Hee-joo, locked in that room, was unable to get out.

Now we see Yoo-hyun at work as the director of his division of Mondo Group, looking over a particularly impressive set of architectural designs with his friend Chul-jin. Miss Ripley Episode 3, The plans are exactly what they’re looking for, but unfortunately, the documents are unidentified (since they were dropped, presumably, by the scattered Hee-joo). Yoo-hyun surmises that they had been lost on the day of the design concept test, and figures that a check of the CCTVs may yield their owner.

Hee-joo invites Miri over, chattering happily while she tidies up. Miri looks around, enviously taking in Hee-joo’s pleasant home and the framed photos of her happy life, which include one with Miri at the orphanage. So she’s not feeling particularly gracious when Hee-joo marvels at how they could work in the same place without running into each other there. Miri replies, “Our jobs are different. You’re a maid.” Rawr.

Miss Ripley Episode 3, Happy Hee-joo doesn’t take offense at the veiled setdown, and Miri casually asks how large this apartment is. Hee-joo doesn’t know, since this isn’t her place; it belongs to an oppa who came to the orphanage after Miri had been adopted — Chul-jin, friend of Yoo-hyun. Wow, you mean they’re ALL connected? Miss Ripley Episode 2 Korean Drama

Miss Ripley Episode 2 Korean Drama, I like. It’s definitely not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, since it’s a melodrama through and through. But I find the premise highly addictive—and strangely, easy to identify with, despite the dramatics. I find myself rooting for a heroine to lie, cheat, and steal, which is ODD, to say the least. It’s what I hope this drama will do successfully throughout its run—make us feel for a character who makes the wrong choices at every turn. It’s curious, that. And I’m intrigued enough to follow her down the rabbit hole.

Yoo-hyun starts his research into the hotel biz, and finds that Jang Myung-hoon of Hotel A is his biggest competition. (I seriously want to smack the person who named the hotels. Hotel A? Like Point A to Point B? Or A Hotel, like A Key, A Nose, A Barrel of Monkeys?)

He takes his friend Chul-jin home with him to visit his parents. I like that the hero is actually a nice guy with good parental relations (though I suspect that Mother is his stepmother, they seem to have a good relationship).

He tells Dad that Jang Myung-hoon is the first person he ought to meet and learn from in this business, and that he could just as well become an ally as well as an enemy; it remains to be seen. The thing he respects is Myung-hoon’s work ethic—though born of privilege, it seems our hero doesn’t take most things for granted. Miss Ripley Episode 2 Korean Drama.

Miss Ripley Korean Drama Episode 1, Finally, the last of the May dramas premieres: Miss Ripley opened today with solid 13.2% premiere that landed it in first place, above Baby-Faced Beauty (11%) and Lie To Me (10.6%). The show wasted no time diving into uber-melodramatic waters, laying out its backstory speedily to bring us to the lie that sets everything in motion.

I’m not sold on the drama yet, though, because while there are things I like about it, there are also things that get on my nerves. Let’s just say: writing and cast are fine so far, while the directing, editing, and music are not mere irritants but positively drive me NUTS. How the story builds on its premise tomorrow will probably decide whether the upsides outweigh the flaws for me.

Miss Ripley Korean Drama Two very different men fall in love with Jang Mi Ri, a woman whose life is a complicated web of lies, propelled by her greedy desires that stem from an unfortunate childhood. Jang Myung Hoon is an ambitious hotelier who maintains perfect control of himself and his life, while Yutaka is the warm and gentle heir of a Korean-Japanese hotel conglomerate. Their love for Mi Ri and her tragic ambition eventually leads them down the path of destruction.

JANG MIRI (Lee Da-hae). It’s sometime in the undefined future, and two men think back on her fondly, though their reminiscences carry a hint of foreboding in the way they speak of her in the past tense, as though in memoriam.

The younger man thinks, "I met her on one spring day. I knew it at first glance — this woman with the eyes that resembled those of my long departed mother. Her smiling face was beautiful." The older man thinks, "I had grown weary of the world — and that woman taught me how to live. She was like my heart. I loved her."

Jumping back in time to the here and now, we find Miri in Fukuoka’s red-light district, Nakasu, working as a bar hostess and drinking with lecherous men for money. The overbearing score hammers home her misery; Miri hates the work but is basically indentured to her pimp/loan shark, Hirayama, and bitterly longs to escape this life and return to Korea. Though it’s her home country, she’d been adopted to Japan as a child; alas, her adoptive father has sunk the family by squandering all his money on all manner of vices. Miri’s on the hook for Dad’s debt before she’ll be let go, a goal that seems a pretty improbable scenario at this juncture.

T-aras Jiyeon is into girls for Miss Ripley

T-ara’s Jiyeon took on a surprising role for MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley‘ On June 6th!
Fans got to see the young idol tackle a challenging part as ‘Yu’, the daughter of the Japanese Prime Minister. Yu was staying at a hotel in Korea, and caused panic when she slipped away secretly.
Actress Lee Da Hae, who played the role of ‘Jang Miri’, was sent out on a search for Yu, and finally found her at a ‘Hallyu Concert’. During this entire process, it was revealed that Yu was a lesbian. Yu was interacting mysteriously with her female friend, and Jang Miri later discovers that was the reason why Yu stole away from the hotel; she was ‘rebelling’ against her father, who was opposed to the relationship.
To persuade Yu to go back, Jang Miri lies to her by saying, “I’m a lesbian, just like you.” She also tries to gain Yu’s sympathy by telling her that her father died because of her, and so Yu should try to avoid making the same mistake that she did.
In the end, Yu returns to the hotel and even thanks Jang Miri for telling her the story about her father.
Viewers commented, “It was shocking that a high schooler acted as a lesbian” and “Although it was a short appearance, her acting was very good”.
